Polar Bear Club - Clash Battle Guilt Pride
Clash Battle Guilt Pride is all of the good that fans have come to expect from Rochester's Polar Bear Club. Melodic yet roughed up, earnest but tough, they stack the emotion high without sacrificing any of the crashing drums and dynamic guitars.
The lines of their punk rock come sharper and more tightly executed this time around, though, even as producer Brian McTernan helps to inject more rock power and shine. Polar Bear Club never get lost within the extra sheen, however, since their ever-present hardcore backbone continues to keep things grounded and sincere.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - Mojo
Tom Petty! Excellent as usual.
I don't think the first track should lead the album, I think a different song would have been a better choice, but the rest of the cd is incredible. So give it a listen and I think you will be very pleased. Running Man's Bible, The Trip To Pirate's Cove, and No Reason To Cry stand out to me as the cream of the crop of the album, but all of the songs will leave you fullfilled.
So go buy it!

Danger Mouse And Sparklehorse - Dark Night Of The Soul
The controversy nearly obscured the resounding triumph of the album itself; written and produced by Burton and Linkous, it's a breathtaking set of atmospheric ballads (plus a few rockers) that explore cosmic concerns, from the self-destructive trap of revenge to the possibility of spiritual renewal.
"Dark Night of the Soul" is finally being released, and recognized as the great album that it is.
