Danger Mouse And Sparklehorse - Dark Night Of The Soul

The controversy nearly obscured the resounding triumph of the album itself; written and produced by Burton and Linkous, it's a breathtaking set of atmospheric ballads (plus a few rockers) that explore cosmic concerns, from the self-destructive trap of revenge to the possibility of spiritual renewal.

"Dark Night of the Soul" is finally being released, and recognized as the great album that it is.

Patti Smith - Banga

Patti Smith, who a few decades ago revolutionized punk rock is back with her eleventh in career, similar in style to the previous releases album entitled "Banga".
This CD inspired by the topics as among others: death, love, nature and history is the result of observation and dreams - as the she admitted.
Undoubtedly a big plus is diversion of motifs presented in works, evident for ex. by "Amerigo" - which is a combination of instrumental music and sung poetry inserts - thanks to whom though the initial impression of "normal" dimension - at a later stage songs shows us their true, valuable face.

Japandroids - Celebration Rock

The second album of the Canadian group undoubtedly has a rather unique atmosphere depicted in songs such as even the initial "The Nights of Wine and Roses", or "Evil's Sway."
The compositions are the resultant of punk vocals and a bit "dirty" garage rock playing in the noise climate. Although songs are very expressive, which are interlaced with the guitar accents or a post rock motifs ("For The Love Of Ivy") - but the album finally leaves a rather chaotic - and in spite of all the mainstream impression.
